Farm by Dinosuar Jr

Below the review are YouTube videos of all Farm songs I could find (live versions where possible) by Dinosaur Jr at various concerts.
The production of both Dinosaur Jr's albums since they got back together makes obvious from the first song on Farm, Pieces, this is how Dinosaur Jr are going to sound now. The old albums are over. They're never going to stop writing excellent songs, but it seems albums sound is settled on. Songs like There's No Here and See You. It's just I think the last three Dinosaur Jr albums overall production lost it, and sound samey after six or seven songs. Which makes extra good Lou's songs breaking it up. Not that the songs lack variety, it's the recording. Said the People, like the Farm version of Not the Same or Alone brings it down. There's No Here, bring it back up. See You, the main riff sounds like it should be a simple happy song, genius turns it to sad and beautiful. Just as beautifully ugly I Don't Wanna Go There. The live recordings are better. Lou's songs live in the 60's. Ocean In The Way's chorus Plans are good acoustic. The atmosphere on the old albums better, but still great songs. Enjoy the videos below.
