Below the review are YouTube videos of all Bug songs played live at different concerts.
The band have bad memories of Bug, going through a break up with the bassist, but whatever, it's fantastic. They reformed in their original line up and played the Bug album recently (July 2011) live in Paris. It's upbeat, thanks a lot to the drumming and J's voice. Same for Barlow's only lead vocal, Don't, maybe preempting being kicked out, screaming Why don't you like me? over and over. Vocal melodys especially good on Bug. Not like it would be better, but if Butch Vig had recorded Let it Ride, it would have been a major single. Iit sounds like a classic album recorded and set in stone before the professionals had a chance to ruin it. It might just be nostalgia, but I like records to sound like their time. Bug is short, but goes out heavy in Don't. I eventually invested in the CD. Bug's a classic. Enjoy the live videos below.
