One of the many aritsts studios we visited in Songzhuang Xia Pu village in Beijing. These paintings are typical of the size most of the artists we met work to.

This street sculpture reminded us of the Stuckists with the text about Duchamps urinal.

Art show posters everywhere on the Beijing streets around these art galleries. It is a huge concentration of Chinese Contemporary Artists, showing fantastic art work.

A more regular view of one of the streets, just to get an idea of what it is like.

The street sculptures are all very different, but amazing skill in most of them.

These posters reminded us of the Constructivists.

Not usually allowed to photograph inside the art galleries, but this was too good to miss. Amazing art exhibition, unfortunately we were unable to photograph more of the artworks.

Our highlight of the 2010 Shanghai Biennale Contemporary Art exhibition was this amazing installation by Verdensteatret. We re-visited the art exhibition primarily to see this room again.

Liu Yujun, Tang Jianying, Lucy Han, Edgeworth and Shelley. Lucy Han is of Soemo Galley in Beijing's 751 Contemporary art district, and introduced us to many excellent Chinese Contemporary Artists, including Liu and Tang in this photo. The restaurant is in the village the artists live and work in.

The sign at the top indicating the Beijing 751 contemporary art district, where hundreds of art galleries are all next door to each other, and joins with the 798 contemporary art district that also has a high concentration of art galleries and art street sculpture.
